David Amaral

Portuguese designer David Amaral (b. 1999) is driven by a desire to create objects that quietly enrich everyday life through form, function, and feeling. With a degree in Industrial Design and a Master’s in Product Design from ESAD.CR, his work moves fluidly between furniture, utilitarian objects, and pieces of artistic expression — all guided by a subtle yet intentional design language.

Balancing clarity with emotional depth, Amaral approaches design as a way to foster empathy between people and the objects that surround them. His process reflects a curiosity for how things are made and how they are used, resulting in designs that are both intuitive and refined.

"I believe design can quietly shape our daily lives by creating empathetic connections with the objects we use — where simplicity, care, and material presence invite a sense of comfort and familiarity."
